December 2, 2016

In early 2016, Carrier announced its intention to move 1,400 jobs from Indianapolis to Mexico and savings around $64 million a year in as a result.  Donald Trump used the movement of jobs out of the United States as a key platform theme during his Presidential campaign.  On December 1, 2016 the announcement was made that President-Elect Trump & Vice-President-Elect Pence struck a deal to keep over 1,000 Carrier jobs and its facility in Indianapolis open.  That same afternoon, two highly respected site selectors, including Ginovus Executive Managing Director Larry Gigerich, were interviewed in this dci broadcast on the implications and details of this highly publicized announcement.
